Do You Know Your Supplements?

Dr. Oz Recommends AdvoCare

Many people think that all supplements are created equal – but as Dr. Oz points out, that’s simply not true! He calls these “health scams”!

The FDA regulates prescription drugs so many Americans believe that they also regulate nutritional supplements. But nutritional supplements are not regulated, and in fact the FDA would have to prove something is harmful if they want to remove it! Each manufacturer has to test and regulate their own products – which means that for all intents and purposes there are many products that are not tested.

In one of his shows Dr. Oz’s stresses the important health benefits of Omega-3 supplements. “Omega 3′s are #1 on my list of essential vitamins” says Dr. Oz. Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids are wonderful for cardio vascular health, brain functions, immune system, skin and hair – the list goes on!

But why did Dr. Oz say “What’s the problem with Omega-3′s that has me so upset?” Dr. Oz had ConsumerLabs.com test 24 different Omega-3 supplements. And AdvoCare was one of only two products he recommended. Many of the products tested did not have the amount of Omega-3′s they listed on the label, some contained contaminants (watch for heavy metals!) and many were already spoiled – even though they had not reached their expiration date! In another show Dr. Oz tested various brands of Probiotics which he also recommends for health benefits – with the same results! AdvoCare was one of two products recommended by Dr. Oz.

So do you really know your supplements?
I highly recommend all the AdvoCare supplements – they are safe, pure and rigorously tested. Check out their “Informed Choice” testing program – each lot of these products are tested for over 200 banned substances (for athletics), toxins and impurities. Once tested each product is stamped with the “Informed Choice” label ensuring the highest quality and safety.

Great read, I simply passed this on to a friend who was carrying out a tiny study on that. And he really bought me lunch mainly because I came across it for him! So let me rephrase that: Thanks for meal!
