When eating a meal don't drink more than 4-6 ounces of water/fluid with your meal. Too much water will dilute your stomach acid and make it harder for your food to get broken down (digested) in a timely manner.
The way we combine our foods is important too. Ideally we shouldn't eat fruits with our meals. Especially a meal containing protein and fats. Fruits, especially melons, digest so fast and, when combined with proteins and fats in our stomach, will create gas in our stomach. Then we have belching and bloating and discomfort. So eat your fruit either a half hour before your meal or an hour after your meal. |
