Happy New Year! Most people have made some sort of New Year's resolution to lose weight, eat better and exercise more. These are the most common resolutions people make. What about sleep? Sleep is a very powerful healer for our immune system, endocrine system and the rest of our body. We all need it and we don't focus on how important it is until we aren't getting any sleep.
By checking your blood work, and adrenals I can tell a lot about how you are sleeping, or not. Cortisol plays a big role in helping us to sleep deeply and to wake rested. Stress brings cortisol levels up and that can interrupt our sleep.
