Tip # 5: Why Stage your Home?

Today I’d like to talk about staging, the hot topic in our industry. The question I am asked most often is “Why should I stage my home?”

The best analogy I can give is about a car for sale. You go to a used car lot and look at cars. Lot A has great cars but they aren’t washed, they are not vacuumed, there is a rip in the seat of one car and dings in the paint on others and most have bald tires.

Across the street at Lot B the cars are detailed. They have new tires, repaired dings, dents and rips, and they look and smell good. Which place shows more motivation to sell? Which place proudly show off their product? Where do you think you’d have a better transaction or get the best price?

The exact same principle applies to selling your home. Staging allows you to show off your home to its maximum potential. An agent who has the Accredited Staging Professional designation, or ASP, can help you achieve this for little to no money and you can get the best price and sell your home in the least time possible.
