Remember your Elders

Once again, we are here talking about your Will and testamentary documents. When we write our Wills, usually we think first about our spouses and our children. But there's an important group I don't want you to forget about, and that's our elders. That's because sometimes our elders have outgrown their pensions and some of us are taking care of our elders either monthly or by paying for very specific items that they need.

You know, if we're doing that during our lives, or if we think it might need to be done after we're gone, we sure better plan for that. We can do a couple of things to make sure it happens, and one is to extract a promise from those who are around us now, our spouses and our children, and they probably will do that. But sometimes that can't be honored. For instance, if our children are young, we'll probably leave our money in a trust for the children. That leaves the trustee in a terrible position. That person cannot do anything with the money except take care of the children. So if we want to take care of our elders, we need to specify that. And remember, they took care of us once. Keep in mind, where there's a Will there's a way, and there's a way to take care of our elders very nicely. Read more about it in my book, Where There's a Will, There's a Way!, and you can find it- purchase it at my website wheretheresawilltheresaway.net.
